Advocacy is a lifestyle.

  • Who is Lena Harvey?

Lena Harvey is the Founder and Chief Visionary of Queen Warrior LLC, a purpose-driven platform rooted in advocacy, storytelling, and systems-level change for individuals and families impacted by sickle cell disease.

Diagnosed in early childhood, Lena’s life has been shaped by resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to transforming lived experience into collective power. She grew up within the community of the Martin Center Sickle Cell Initiative, mentored by its founder, Father Boniface Hardin, where her name and face became synonymous with sickle cell advocacy across Indianapolis. That early foundation ignited a lifelong mission to ensure that patients are not only seen, but heard, respected, and empowered.

A multidimensional professional, Lena’s journey spans diverse careers- including saute chef, professional bridal stylist, and former beauty queen- each chapter reinforcing her belief that identity is expansive and purpose evolves. Today, she is recognized as a trusted voice in sickle cell education, qualitative research, and patient-centered advocacy, serving as a bridge between community, healthcare systems, and policy leaders. She is also a Versiti Blood Center Beacon of Hope, with her story featured on their website and YouTube channel.

Through Queen Warrior LLC, Lena leads initiatives that center dignity, access, and wellness- collaborating with healthcare partners, nonprofits, and corporations to create sustainable, human-centered solutions. Her work is not performative; it is personal, strategic, and legacy-minded.

At its core, Queen Warrior is more than a brand- it is a declaration: that survival can become sovereignty, and that warriors deserve care worthy of their strength.
